In the land of Alterna, a barren 'utopia' marred by war and corruption, orphan Raven was raised to break mystery from the moment they solved their first placement tests. Alongside dearest friend Toga, them and the rest of the young soldiers in their wake served their duties in honor of the otherworldly king Haggard, a rather odd demon who had promised the creatures of this realm organized peace and justice at the end of the road. However, as time passed and the horrors came, the pawns had begun to realize Haggard's true intentions from the start... As well as their actual state of freedom. In years of rebellion, much more valiant, heroic Toga would end up giving his life to save his comrades, betraying the wishes of Haggard by using his body to block an explosion that created a stalemate between the king's plans and the realm of demons. Raven would witness this tragedy in all of its horrorific shades. For the very first time, the fox would feel true spark of flame burst from within their heart and soul- a powerful fire made of realization, determination, grief... And rage.
